A wiki has four major functions which are simply laid out for the user to navigate through creating web content. They may appear as buttons in the wikisite or as hyperlinked text.

Home - This function takes the wiki user back to the main registered "index" or starter page for that wiki site.

Edit - A wiki user selects this when they wish to add content to their wikipage. A save function becomes evident to the wiki user when they wish to save their content on that wiki page.

History - The history function provides an account of who edited which content and where they edited the content from - the computers registered IP address. The wiki owner or principal account holder can re-instate versions according to their login status.

Discuss - This is a very handy function. The threaded discussion forum allows each user to enter comments and see the comments preceeding their own.

This function aids in the construction of the wiki site and could act as an dynamic record for the "community" to consider as they add content to the site.
