The word blog is short for weblog.

A blog is often described as an online web space which allows anyone to publish content to the world wide web.





A teacher or a student can register for a free blog site / space and then start 'posting' or publishing things like written articles or pictures - a very handy tool for educators and students alike.

A blog is also known as a web based "site" which can be updated by one or many authors.

The difference between blogs and a web site is that a blog is constructed in a way that makes the recent changes easily identifiable. Most recent additions or postings appear first and less recent ones later - filed or archived away by user selection.
