Hey, my name is Ehon, and I'm a Youth Ambassador for Reach Out!. :) You're a superstar! What a FANTASTIC and TRUE thought: "I’ll be really surprised if anyone thinks that Reach Out doesn’t offer at least 5 really valuable ideas or resources for immediate use in any program or course that targets youth and youth at risk." ! :)

Your words encourages us to do what we do. Thanks for the plug!

So somebody's finally come out and said it …
And edu punk has such a nicer ring than ‘critical literacy’!
Show me an educator who doesn’t acknowledge the politics of education …. Then also show me the bored, uninspired (and dare I say….oppressed) students in the same classroom.
Definitely worth a read....although podcasts.. aka spoken word – Biafra, Bragg or Rollins style – would be much more edupunk!

Hi Regan
Yes you can, this blog is actually a Wordpress blog. Alex is the person to talk to about the ins and outs as he is the one who set it up.

Have a look, though, at the article "How do I take ‘wordpress’ out of my url?" - http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/02/07/how-do-i-take-wordpress-out-of-my-url/

The Sydney Institute blog is very impressive....
What I'm curious to know, is whether you can use 'wordpress' to blog, but have a (.net) or other url extension?
The reason I ask is because its nice (and somewhat more credible)to be able to have a concise 'site only name' URL and not .wikispaces or .blogger (in some cases anyway).
If this is possible - can you give some advice on how to do this? I've been told of places like 'hostgater' and such.... but is there another way? (minimal cost is OK!)

Hi Michael

The resources are still linked from the right hand column of the blog (you might have to scroll down a bit further than before). Blogs and Wikis are under "SERIES TWO" and Digital Storytelling is under "OTHER RESOURCES."

Thanks for your suggestion re the wiki. We'll see what we can do!
